Community Driven Projects

Since 2010, Kelsey has worked as a community engaged artist. She has performed with outreach ensemble such as Dance Generators and worked with artist-activists Ami Dowling and Natalie Greene as both a USF student and alum. Her work has aided those who are living with addiction, homeless populations, preschool students, and hospitalized patients in nursing homes. Kelsey has created two documentary films with friend and filmmaker, Joanna Glum. She has also collaborated with composer/musical director, Sean Gresens to create musical outreach projects. Her passion for community-driven work within the arts is continued through her position as Arts Coordinator for Redding Elementary School. She hopes to continue fostering and promoting arts for young people, those incarcerated, elderly populations and beyond. She aspires to further the discussion of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the Performing Arts as she challenges organizations to create safe spaces for all.
